Why not I blog a little?
June 14, 2009 at 9:17 am | In Me | Leave a CommentIt’s been a week? Alright, I got some footage on the performance that I will be participating in,
No footage of me, haha, or any other army guys so hmmm…enjoy!
FYI: This video is done by Mr. Brown.
Had my battalion 42th (I think…) anniversary on friday at Sentosa. The event is all about having fun with games organized by my BSM. I did not participate in any of the games though and my battery was the overall champion for the day. I will try to get some pics on the event and post it online.
Something has been bothering me for the past day that I couldn’t even sleep. It is sort of super private so it is unbloggable (THIS WORD NEEDS TO EXIST). How I wish I am like Liam Neeson from Taken where he said
I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you”.
Of course you have to change some words here and there but the feeling is there and of course I do not have the set of skills too but yeah, the feeling is there (Like you hate someone so badly but you don’t know who that someone is?). I need to go now, guess I’ll be back next time?
I NEED TO UPDATE
May 31, 2009 at 12:08 pm | In Me | Leave a CommentWell, it’s been long eh??? Military, everything’s a “SECRET”. (hahaha…) Being in the army has it’s advantages and disadvantages. Do I even need to say out the disadvantages? And the advantages, (you might wonder), you get to do stuff civilian don’t get to do (actually, they can do it but the choose not to). This is turning out to be a complicated/hard to understand post eh? (maybe is because I have not written a post for quite some time) Let me sort of explain, last week, my platoon went to do some charity work for SCAS (Spastic Children’s Association of Singapore) at Meridian Junior College, it’s their sports day. Doing charity isn’t exactly what I am use to do since I have never done it before (I know…) so this is something new to me. The event lasted the whole morning that this is the aftermath,

Another event that I am going to do is well, my country’s birthday. I am participating in the national day which means, my weekends are burn!!! I am not in the marching contingent or anything like that, I am just performing a kungfu segment. I guess that’s it eh? I don’t know when I will post again but I hope it will be soon. See you.
hmmm…i have disappeared eh?
April 19, 2009 at 11:52 am | In Me | Leave a CommentOne part of me is asking, should I do it now or should I do it later? I guess I have to do it now otherwise, who knows when later is? There isn’t much I can talk about especially since I am in the army, less information from me, I went for range, had a CO parade and erm…I think still got some more but I can’t remember at this very moment. Went to Tampines 1 today, just another typical mall newly set up in this small country. There are a few special outlets though, in a nutshell, I would say that it is a very japanese orientated shopping mall with lots of “first in singapore” japanese genre outlets. Have not went to another new mall that opened recently call iluma. Unique mall, the outlook of the mall look sort of like that bayern munich stadium, covered in light bulbs. Going to be real busy over the next few months (at least till the end of the year say…October?) so won’t be blogging so often as I wish i could have. Going to book into camp soon, so I guess I will stop here? oh ya, I am seriously considering my options after army especially the carrying on studying part. Hope everything turns out the way I want it to be. Cya.
I don’t want to know
March 15, 2009 at 12:43 pm | In Me | Leave a CommentThe reason for this title? Well, I am listening to a song with this title. First, I have to apologize for the lack of updates, when you are in the army, your weekends are like your last days on earth, it’s that precious. Hmmm… what is in my mind now is that where should I start? During my free time in the army, a lot of things have been going through my mind this recent weeks on what I can write about on this blog. I guess I should start with university admission. I have “shamelessly” applied for the local university admission again this year even though I have a low GPA. (Hey, it’s better to give it a try than not trying at all right?) The local universities have been posting ads on the newspaper appealing for students to join their institute, they have caught my attention and I want to join them, they should at least give me a glimpse of hope by granting me an interview eh? (HOPE for the best i guess.)
I think that is all for now on the university issue. The next item is not an issue but an event actually. IT SHOW 2009 was here and I use was for a reason (It’s now 8.07pm and IT show is going to close at 9pm). Never bring a camera there to take some pictures (What am I talking about, I always go out without a camera, haha) but as usual the crowd is there. I think there are more people this time round maybe because it is the first IT SHOW of the year where we are experiencing the worst economy (some even said this economy crisis is worse than the great depression), people are trying to get the best bargain they can. Went to the event on 2 of the worse day you can possibly imagine, Saturday and Sunday. Got myself a new 32″ LCD TV, courtesy of my dad.
Alright, IT SHOW is out of the way, let me write about army. To all the boys and girls (only apply to those who wish to join the army) who have not reach the age for enlistment yet. Here’s an advise from me, the person who is now serving the nation, appreciate what you have now. Seriously, enjoy school than hate it, enjoy doing your homework than copying it from your friends, enjoy hanging out with your friends over the weekend and many more. Enjoy the freedom/’abundance of time’ that you have now. Your freedom comes at a price and someone is paying a price to defend it. (hehe, that will be me!) Hope you guys and girls heed my advise and appreciate everything around you. See you, bye.
Ask for more???
March 1, 2009 at 12:14 pm | In Me | Leave a CommentWondering why am I using the Pepsi slogan? Well, it’s a nice line to use, hehe, for example, ask for more drink? Ask for more time? Hehe, I understand this is a little bit to difficult to understand but what matters is that I understand. This week in army is like usual, got a few more mosquito bite than usual due to the unpredictable rain that is happening nowadays. There is quite a number of thunder storm this week, at least 5 days worth of storm and you think it is suppose to be a country where summer is a guarantee eh? Well, the weather anywhere is unpredictable these day even in other countries due to reason like global warming. Adding fuel to the global warming crisis, there is the economy crisis. Seriously, the money must be going somewhere, everyone is losing money, there must be someone earning the money, so WHERE IS THE MONEY??? Haha, that is the question I’ve been asking. Blog again next week after 5 more days in the army. Wish me luck for my posting in the army. See You.
Be Right Back A.K.A BRB
February 22, 2009 at 1:15 pm | In Me | Leave a CommentWell, it isn’t the easiest thing to maintain your blog when you only come home for 2 days a week. Please do forgive me for not updating constantly. Here’s a promise, going to post some stuff next week yeah? BRB next week. Cya.
Then…Now…
February 8, 2009 at 9:42 am | In Me | Leave a CommentIt’s time for me to report what has been going on after Hong Kong, well, when I came back to Singapore, I got my new posting in the army, I was posted to Signal Institute (SI) to train to become an IC2 operator (You don’t need to know what this is). It is a 7 weeks course, had a lot of fun while I was there, everyone was nice there also. I kind of like SI even though it is very far away from my home. Had Chinese New Year during that period in SI, well, no pictures because the “photographers” decided to take a break this year. (and there are several of them somemore) After new year, had my last week in SI, it was sad but we got to move on. I was posted to 20 SA (look it up on the internet, it should be there) last week. Spent 2 days in the camp and I am missing SI already, sad. Anyway, nothing much to post about till now, no BIG news or something like that. Bye.
Hong Kong/Macau
January 27, 2009 at 11:30 am | In Me | Leave a CommentAH HA!!! Ok, I am back again to do my hong kong posting. I am not going to write much today because I do not feel like typing long long sentences today, haha. So, let me start with this,
Nice eh? In the sky…
Went to hong kong during the block leave for some relaxation/fun/feel of freedom.
Here are some nice picture of Hong Kong International. What can I say? Very nice eh?
This is one of the many bridges found in HK, can’t remember the name but i think this is a pretty famous bridge
Welcome to Hong Kong! I think this is the famous ladies street (Direct chinese translation, I think the english also sounds something like this haha)
My first drink in Hong Kong and I think I am staring at “something”
The evening view before sun down.
Went to Lamma Island for some seafood dinner. It a 30 minute to one hour boat ride.
I believe my seafood dinner is quite fresh from the looks of things
The row of restaurants at Lamma Island.
The hotel where we stayed for a night.
Make a guess, where am I? Haha.
I am glad to say that this is my second disneyland and this is the first time I am staying through till it closes. So it means I got to see the fireworks at disneyland!!!
Cool eh? It’s on the floor.
This is how it got done, a simple broom and water plus some artistic talent.
This is one of the float at the parade.
Finally, it’s time for me to show you guys the night life in disneyland.
The Magic Castle of Cinderella.
Christmas won’t be complete without a christmas tree.
Snow in Hong Kong? Nah, it’s just some foam.
The fireworks that marks the closing of disneyland.
Headed to Kowloon after disneyland,
The hotel I am staying in Kowloon. (I can’t remember the name)
Out in the streets yo! Haha.
The morning outside the hotel.
A poor sampan that is going to be boot out by the modern society of Hong Kong soon.
Another nice view at a hill top.
Another day ends in Hong Kong. Heading to Macau next.
The most recognizable building in the whole of Macau, Ruins of St. Paul’s.
Yes, it’s ME family again (If you realise, I did the ME on purpose?)
Sands hotel, it’s gold and shiny.
I got a chance to go to The Venetian Macau. There is nothing bigger that this in the whole of Asia. Here are some interior view of it.
Makes me feel like I am in a city within a city. Scary!!!
I shall end this posting with some nice scenery of Hong Kong (These are taken in Hong Kong not Macau)…
And ya, let me talk about this little girl in the picture below. She is cute eh? I stare at her every action for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Over that period of time, She made a couple of new friends and made constant repeated actions of jumping about, a very active girl I must say. I was resting during that period of 30 minute to 1 hour, not stalking ok!
(Note: All pictures were not taken by me, it’s taken by my brother.)
I AM FINALLY BACK!!! PT.2
January 18, 2009 at 11:12 am | In Me | 1 CommentHehehe, sorry again for being gone for more than a month, been really busy lately. What a title eh??? This is the continuation of the previous post but also the status this blog is in now. I am finally back!!!
I mention the last time I am going to have more details on my POP so here I am, adding more pics to the previous batch. It is sort of a tradition for parents to put the jockey cap on recruits when they march in so here are some of the pictures of it.
My mom putting my jockey cap on me. (I am a tall guy eh? haha)

My mom and I.
My dad and I.
If i remember correctly, my mum “smuggle” some drinks for me when she came down, haha.
After we toss our cap, we went to grab our stuff and made another march in
Look at us marching in with all the goodies.
After passing the goodies to our parents, each platoon started to gather at the parade square doing what everyone will do, chat and take photos (I forgot to mention, we did the parade on the same day as we did our 24 km route march, haha)
Here are some of the photos taken,
Quebec Platoon 1 Section 3 04/08
Nigel, Sgt. Nabil, Me and Zhi Xiong
With our PC.
Quebec Platoon 1 04/08. We have so many camera facing us we don’t know which camera to face.
Posing with our coy board.
Kelvin, Kevin and Gavin (WE BELONG TO THE SAME SECTION!)
This is it, the last picture I have for show. That’s my buddy and me btw. I was holding my milo box throughout the time we were at the parade square. HAHA.
Alright, I finally completed my POP posting. My next posting will most likely be the Hong Kong trip but that has got to wait till next week because I am booking into camp soon. (In a few hours time actually) So, be back next week!!! Cya.
I am finally BACK!!!
December 15, 2008 at 2:41 pm | In Me | Leave a CommentHi ladies and gentlemen, I know you guys miss me (how arrogant of me, but…it’s true right??? hehe) so here I am. Well, if you are wondering what happen to me so far, I have completed my Basic Military Training!!! For the loyal readers, you guys would’ve know that I was posted to Quebec Coy all the way at rocky hill and 10 December was the day I had my Passing Out Parade (POP). Let me start with my platoon (Since the military is so strict about bring cameras to camp, it is almost impossible to have a picture of us in uniform, I’ll be posting some “official” photos.)
This is my platoon, Quebec Platoon 1 04/08.
Still the same group of people, try to spot me!!!
Pictures of my section, Section 3!!! (I believe it to be the smallest section in the whole coy, what an achievement!)
BMT has a lot of great memories but unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. I guess BMT is an orientation to the army, it is only the beginning. Field camp is some scary shit for me because it is an event that I could never get mentally prepared for. I can only go through it one day by one day. (SCARY SHIT!). I can’t post much details on my BMT life and I am so sorry about it. But I can post some detail on my POP. Some PICTURE details.
The parade square where we are going to march into. The Q board is just over there.
No march in picture but try to spot me!!!
The whole of Quebec Company. We are a big group.
Can you spot the difference between this and the previous picture?
Yup, there’s a casualty. I am not sure if it is the same person, quite a few people went down.
The re-entry, with me right at the left hand corner. My mom help me with my cap (unfortunately, the picture is not with me at this very moment), did the BMT roar and …
POP!!!
OK, I will stop here now. I am currently enjoying my leave that is given to me which will end on the 22nd of December. Going to Hong Kong tomorrow with my family. Will have somemore details on my POP when I come back. See you guys soon. Bye.
